Proverbs 16 – all knowing?

March 16, 2009 by jon

There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 16:25 from the New International Version

Ever been wrong? I have, many times. The answer seemed so clear, I worked as hard as I thought I needed to and fell flat on my face.

You probably have a political view point that is dramatically different from other people. A mistake is automatically or always assuming that a person has bad intentions. Your political enemy might be acting as he or she believes is right and could be very wrong and on a path to destruction. At the same time, the person on the wrong path could be you.

This is a fundamental reminder I try to keep in mind on a regular basis — I could be totally off.

What this does, and if more people possessed it, is that you can still be confidant in your actions, beliefs, and decisions, yet also be open to learning and growing.
proverbs16

If more people would understand the truths in this verse (including: there is a path that leads to death, but looks good; we don’t have all the info; we can be wrong) it would at leastcause us to pause a moment before jumping down into the death and destruction place. It would also allow us to have better understanding of others – leading to all kinds of good.

You made it this far …

I am always looking to me more leaders, linchpins, and problem solvers. We need more people to take on a business owner mindset, to seek out pains and problems then find ways to provide value to others.

Let's connect.
