OCR Training @ Battlefield

April 2, 2015 by jon

The Stone River Battlefield is a National Battlefield Park where an important Civil War Battle.

Today most people who visit the park drive through it, stopping along the way at specific historic spots.

There is lots of pavement a person can follow for running, yet when training for an Obstacle Course Race (OCR) you want to avoid pavement.

There are two things I aim for when in parks like this:
– avoid pavement
– elevation changes
At this location the elevation changes are minimal, yet there are lots of trails throughout the park, and grass areas alongside roads that are easy to run on.

You also don’t run in just a straight line, having to avoid rocks, boulders, and even go over walls or fences.

You made it this far …

I am always looking to me more leaders, linchpins, and problem solvers. We need more people to take on a business owner mindset, to seek out pains and problems then find ways to provide value to others.

Let's connect.
